In 2014, Heather Thomason recognized the need to rebuild the connection between consumers and the farmers who raise their food. She left a successful career in graphic design to learn butchery from the ground up, beginning on a Pennsylvania farm where she gained first hand experience raising pastured animals from birth to slaughter. She later trained in whole animal butchery in Berkeley, California, working with full carcasses and preparing them for retail. Her work reflects a commitment to responsible agriculture, transparency, and traditional craft.
